Hair & Makeup: You can't have one without the other!

I love hair.. I love make-up; I have ALWAYS been a girly girl..isn't that the point? I remember in college I couldn't leave the salon without making up my ENTIRE face, it just brought the hair do out!! I have tried different lines of makeup, but I am always searching for the best..the same motivating factor that led me to lace units. I am currently mixing two brands of foundation that I learned as a tip from my "Iman Make-up" manual(She is TRULY the bomb, by the way). I've learned that experimentation is the best way to find the colors that best suit your complexion as far as foundation. I am a chocolate sister, so either each color is too light or too dark. But thru experimentation, I have landed on some MONUMENTAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS! Check out my new ebook that will be available April 6th entitled: Shades of me:Discovering The Right Blend for the Dark Brown Diva! $6

The Beauty of LACE!!!

You know, I've worn it all when it comes to "hair enhancements", if you will. From sew-ins to braids to wigs..you name it, I've worn it!! Not due to being "hair challenged",however. I do have quite a healthy head of medium length thick hair that I've maintained all my life. I just ADORE being FABULOUS and EYE CATCHING with my hair choices, and I have NEVER been afraid to try something different or take a risk! When wearing my sew-in weaves, I thought that there was nothing greater; no glue and the hair style that I wanted WITHOUT worrying about tracks loosening or being exposed! Life sure was good.. that is, until I began to experience hair thinning and breakage in between styles. At one point, I just began doing my sew ins myself. With this new found independence, at least I knew that if my hair fell out it was MY FAULT, and no one else's! That gave me some solace in a weird sort of way. Being the self proclaimed HAIR & MAKEUP FASHIONISTA that I am, I was always on the search for the next best thing. So when in the summer of 2007 I was introduced to LACE UNITS, I was immediately smitten, and I have never looked back!! Most celebrities utilize full lace and lace front units to maintain the fabulousness that is BEYONCE, MEAGAN, and TYRA. Let me tell ya, I knew this train was smoking when my girl Mary J went from weave disaster to elegant chic in a matter of one photo shoot!!! Lace units afford you the opportunity to TRULY have the versatility, style, and natural look that you've ALWAYS desired in wearing hair enhancements. That is why I am a lace lover and fanatic, and implore ALL that HAVE NOT tried them to GET ON THE BUS!!!
